How billing works

How are tokens and cache usage billed?

Input, output, cache read and cache write have separate USD rates per 1 million tokens. Fixed image billing uses returned image count; dynamic image billing uses a 1024 × 1024 area baseline.

How do tiered rates work?

Prompt tokens include input, cache read and cache write. Tier bounds are inclusive. A matching tier replaces the base rates for that request; the base rates apply when no tier matches.

How do group multipliers affect the final charge?

Your selected group and its peak/off-peak schedule can change the amount billed. Review your group pricing in the Dashboard. Payment currency and account credit are shown at checkout.
